News: Dindane scored his first Premier League goal against Wigan, followed by his second and third. And he provided an assist for Frederic Piquionne. Shame you didn't have him in your team - but after his previous struggles, why would you?
Analysis: Wigan's defence was dreadful - hesitant and disorganized. But there's no arguing with a hat-trick.
|
News: After two amazing misses at home to Tottenham last week, Dindane was more accurate away to Hull, forcing Boaz Myhill to save.
Analysis: But he still didn't score. Nothing yet to suggest you want him anywhere your squad.
|
News: Dindane has promised goals in an interview to be published in the match programme for Portsmouth's home match with Tottenham Hotspur - although not necessarily in that game. He also expects the team to accumulate enough league points to avoid relegation. "I'm sure we will stay up," he said. "If I wasn't confident that we can do that then I wouldn't have signed for this club."
Analysis: No Portsmouth forward has scored a league goal this season. Of course, one probably will at some point, so if you fancy rolling the dice ...
|
News: Dindane scored in the Carling Cup victory, but Paul Hart, the manager, does not necessarily intend to put him straight into the team for the match agasinst Everton on Saturday. "There were signs there that he's going to be very important to us," Hart said. "We've got to be careful putting him into the Premier League, though, we don't want anything to happen to him."
Analysis: Watch and wait.
|
News: Dindane has denied reports that he may not play before November. "I am getting sharp. I have a special program and to be honest I am feeling fine, I am almost ready to play. Mr Hart [Paul Hart, the manager] wants me to be properly ready and I am well. Hopefully I will join the first team next week.'
Analysis: Dindane is unlikely to feature in the match away to Aston Villa, but could get a run-out in the Carling Cup tie away to Carlisle United. If he impresses, he might be a useful pick-up if you need forward strength in depth.
