News: Palacios is likely to return to Tottenham's starting line-up for the game against Stoke tomorrow.
Analysis: Tom Huddlestone or Niko Kranjcar might make way for him.
|
News: Palacios is likely to be on the bench at best when Spurs go to Fratton Park on Saturday.
Analysis: He was due to fly in on the morning of the game after being forced to attend a reception in Honduras after they qualified for the World Cup finals - the orders of military juntas taking precedence over the wishes of Harry Redknapp in the grand scheme of things.
|
News: Wilson Palacios will return to the Tottenham first team after serving a one-match suspension.
Analysis: And, barring injury or another suspension, he'll stay there for the rest of the season. He has given Spurs some much-needed steel in the middle of the pitch since his January arrival.
|
News: Wilson Palacios will miss Tottenham's next league match against West Ham at White Hart Lane after being sent off in the defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
Analysis: Palacios had been Tottenham's best player to that point, but this is as good a reason as any to leave him out of fantasy sides. He's all action on the pitch but rarely scores and loves a booking.
|
News: A sixth booking in seven games gives Palacios ten for the season and a two-match ban, which means the 1-0 defeat away to Manchester was probably his last match for Wigan.
Analysis: According to Steve Bruce, the Wigan manager, Tottenham are not alone in registering a serious interest in the combative midfield player but regardless of his destination, a two-match ban isn't the best baggage with which to arrive at a new club.
